The service

TLC Family is provided by Time-Line Continuum Pty Ltd. It lets you record a family tree and look at it in several ways. It is a separate application from our other products, with its own account: signing up here does not create an account anywhere else.

Your account

You need an email address to sign in, and you are responsible for keeping access to that address secure. Please tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.

What you record stays yours

The family information you enter belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership of it, we do not publish it, and we do not use it for anything other than running the service for you. You can delete it at any time.

Please only record information you have a reasonable right to record, and be considerate about details of living relatives.

Cost

TLC Family is free to use while we are getting started. If we ever introduce a charge, we will tell you before it applies, and nothing you have already recorded will be locked away from you because of it.

What we can and cannot promise

We work hard to keep the service running and to keep backups, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable and we cannot promise it will never lose data. It is offered as it is. If your family history matters to you, and it should, keep your own copy of the important parts as well.

We do not check whether the information in your tree is correct. That is yours to get right.

Ending it

You can stop using TLC Family whenever you like and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend an account that is being used to break the law or to harm someone, and we will explain why if we do.
